Cubs caravan rolls up to Harry Caray’s

Photo by Julia Schatz January 12, 2012 – (Left) Dale Sveum, the former Major League Baseball player who was hired last November to manage the Chicago Cubs, talks to reporters Wednesday afternoon at Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse north of Marina City.

At the sold-out “Cubs Caravan Luncheon,” fans got to hear directly from Cubs management and players.

It was a lunch break in a busy schedule. According to a news release on January 5, the 2012 Cubs Caravan Tour, featuring two buses full of players, coaches, and front office personnel, will visit seven schools, two hospitals, and a police station this week. After the caravan left Harry Caray’s, it went to Perspectives Math & Science Academy south of the Loop and then headed north to Children’s Memorial Hospital.
