(Above) Work continues on a $1 million project to repair exterior concrete on the residential floors of both towers at Marina City. Problem areas were identified during inspections in 2006 and 2007. This is what the repair work looked like on Wednesday afternoon from the 59th floor of the west tower. As workers descend in “swing stage” scaffolds, the edges of many balconies appear dotted with plywood where concrete has been repaired.
