January 18, 2010 – About 100 people, mostly young adults, gathered outside NBC’s street-level studio on Michigan Avenue late Monday afternoon to show support for former Chicago resident and “The Tonight Show” host Conan O’Brian.

27-year-old Mike Mitchell organized the event. Using mostly a Facebook page, Mitchell planned similar events in Los Angeles, New York, and Seattle.

O’Brian is being pressured by NBC to delay the start time of The Tonight Show to accommodate former host Jay Leno’s prime-time show.

The Facebook fan page, “I’m With COCO,” has more than 342,000 fans.
