It would be a much better landing than the replica of the Picasso sculpture at Daley Plaza. Video shown Tuesday night on Conan O’Brien’s talk show confirms what we suspected. The Picasso struck the lip of the north end of the State Street Bridge on Sunday (see below) before falling into the Chicago River, or “into the briny deep” as O’Brien described it.

Turner Broadcasting System “It doesn’t have the aerodynamics of a sausage,” theorized Andy Richter, the show’s announcer,

referring to a successful stunt shown on Monday in which a ten-foot bratwurst made the jump.
