President Clinton to address young movers, shakers at Marina City

November 4, 2009 – Former president Bill Clinton’s visit to Marina City’s House of Blues next week will be to promote his new “Millennium Network” that invites people age 45 and under to get involved in the work of the Clinton Foundation.

The November 11 event will also include a performance by Common, the Chicago-born actor and rapper. Tickets are available for $150 each, with the price of admission to a VIP reception starting at $1,500.

It will be the first Midwest event of the Millennium Network, which according to an invitation, addresses issues such as HIV/AIDS, climate change, and economic opportunity worldwide. “Inspired by President Clinton’s vision to mobilize the next generation of leaders and philanthropists, it was established in 2007 and now stands at more than 5,000 members strong.”

The William J. Clinton Foundation was established in 2001. Major contributors include The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation and UNITAID.
