President Clinton to speak at Marina City

October 26, 2009 – Former president Bill Clinton will be at Marina City’s House of Blues next month. It will be the first Midwest event of the William J. Clinton Foundation Millennium Network.

The Millennium Network, according to its web site, “invites individuals age 45 and under to get involved in the work of the Clinton Foundation – fighting HIV/AIDS and climate change, combating the childhood obesity epidemic in the United States, and promoting economic development worldwide.”

William J. Clinton Foundation Clinton (left) will speak at a reception at HOB on November 11. The site describes the event as “an evening of philanthropy and fun in Chicago.”

Established in 2001, the William J. Clinton Foundation addresses global and domestic issues. Major contributors include The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation and UNITAID.

Previous Millennium Network events were held in San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles.
