September 7, 2020 – Three blocks along Clark Street in River North will remain closed to traffic all week long – but open to outdoor diners.

The city announced on Friday it is expanding a weekend project that helps restaurants serve a larger number of socially-distanced people.

Clark Street is closed to north/south traffic from Kinzie Street to Grand Avenue.

Also closed seven days a week are one block of Wells Street between Superior Street and Huron Street, and Rush Street from Bellevue Place northwest to State Street.

A 12-to-16-foot-wide lane will be kept open for pedestrians and emergency vehicles. East/west streets through the areas will also remain open.
