October 27, 2019 – The head of a police agency in Virginia lost her wallet to a thief while she dined at a River North restaurant on Friday evening. The woman is visiting Chicago to attend the International Association of Chiefs of Police convention that started on Saturday at McCormick Place.

A Chicago Police Department spokesperson confirmed that someone stole a 55-year-old woman’s belongings in the 500 block of North Wabash Avenue. A source told CWB Chicago the thief stole the woman’s property as she dined at P.F. Chang’s, 530 North Wabash, at around 6:30 p.m.

The thief went on to use the woman’s credit cards at various downtown locations before the victim realized her wallet had been stolen.
