CBRE retained to lease commercial space

August 11, 2008 – The world’s largest commercial real estate company has been hired to sell commercial tenants on moving to Marina City. New signs on the west tower parking ramp direct prospective tenants to Kim McGuire, a Senior Vice President with CB Richard Ellis, who confirmed the arrangement. Transwestern Commercial Services will continue to manage the commercial property for LaSalle Hotel Properties of Bethesda, Maryland.

CB Richard Ellis is based in Los Angeles and has operations in 30 countries. It has five offices in the Chicago area, including one at 311 South Wacker Drive.

So far this year, Marina City has gained a new commercial tenant, Dick’s Last Resort, but lost long-time tenant Crunch when lease negotiations broke down.

Kim McGuire McGuire (left) is no stranger to the neighborhood. He handled commercial leasing for the Renaissance Hotel complex and numerous properties along North Michigan Avenue.
