February 11, 2010 – Good view of the couches. Perfect for any committee. The former MTCA meeting room on the lower concourse level at Marina City sits empty at the moment. The property is listed with CB Richard Ellis, a real estate corporation based in Los Angeles.

Daniel Jacobson, an associate at CBRE in Chicago, declined to comment on how the property is being marketed. The company was hired in 2008 to lease commercial property at Marina City.

Marina Towers Condominium Association recently relocated the meeting room to the 20th floor of the east tower. A Super Bowl party on February 7 appears to be the first event held in the new meeting room. According to an anonymous post on the Marina City residents’ blog, Marina Watchdog, about 50 people “crammed into the meeting room to see a wall size projection view of the game.”

Pizza was provided by State Street Pizza Company, which opened in January at 400 North State Street.
