Car show on Wacker Drive

17-Aug-11 – (Left) Two BMW “concept cars,” the i8 hybrid (left) and the i3 all-electric (right), hit their marks in preparation for a promotional video shot Tuesday on Wacker Drive.

Wacker’s westbound lanes were closed to traffic on Tuesday afternoon.

The cars will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The i3, with its transparent roof and side panels, is expected to arrive in bigger cities in 2013. (Photo by Stephen Serio. Click on image to view larger version.)
