“Chicago is a dynamic city and the space downtown is a perfect fit for our needs,” said Ian Cunningham, a Capital One managing vice president, in a news release on Thursday. “It is a great location that provides us with access to all the resources that the city has to offer – transportation and an experienced and an incredibly talented workforce.”

When the company moves to 77 West Wacker Drive during the last three months of 2013, Chicago will be a primary hub for Capital One’s credit card business in the United States, along with two cities in Virginia. About 1,000 Capital One employees already work in the Chicago area.
