River North bar patron hit in head with bottle, now suing

March 30, 2014 – An errant bottle allegedly tossed by a tipsy bar patron in River North has landed in Cook County Circuit Court.

Milan Stupar is suing Mercer One Thirteen, located at 113 West Hubbard Street, for $50,000, claiming he was hit in the head with a glass bottle on February 23.

He filed his lawsuit on March 12. Stupar is claiming negligence, citing the Illinois Dram Shop Act. A case management hearing is scheduled for May 20.
