Chicago River group seeks nominations for ‘River Blue’ awards

February 11, 2015 – Creative approaches to design and implementations that are sensitive to the Chicago River will earn awards this year from the organization that makes the river a better place.

Friends of the Chicago River is looking for nominations for its sixth annual Chicago River Blue Awards. The awards acknowledge the work of developers, designers, municipalities, and others. Past winners include the Chicago Riverwalk on the main branch and the boathouse at Ping Tom Memorial Park on the south branch.

Applications are due on April 3. Awards will be presented at the Big Fish Ball on June 4.
