Architecture award to River North’s Becker for ‘distinguished service’

November 27, 2012 – Architecture writer Lynn Becker will receive an award for distinguished service next month from the Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Becker wrote Tuesday on his Facebook page that he is “very honored” to be one of three recipients this year. Also named were Paul Knight, principal of an energy conservation consulting firm in Oak Park, and Vincent Paglione, associate dean at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

His photographs often appear on Marina City Online.

The awards will be presented at AIA Chicago’s annual meeting on December 7.
