River North gallery to feature Marina City images
April 23, 2009 An exhibition this summer at a River North art gallery will feature images of Marina City. Running June 5 through August 29, the exhibit will include original drawings, photographs, and blueprints. Chicago has many iconic buildings but none is so instantly recognizable worldwide as the riverside complex of Bertrand Goldbergs Marina City, says David Jameson of ArchiTech Gallery. The sculptural aspect of the matched towers is so breathtaking, and its siting at the edge of the river so startling that it creates an unmatched visual image of Chicago.
