Big John salutes Blue Angels

August 18, 2012 – (Above) Against a very, very blue yonder, four U.S. Navy Blue Angels fly over River North’s John Hancock Center Friday afternoon, practicing for the Chicago Air & Water Show that starts today. (Click on image to view larger version.)

More than two million people are expected along Chicago’s lakefront today and tomorrow. According to the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications, the biggest crowds will be north of Oak Street.

Saturday should be sunny with a high near 74. Sunday, most sunny with a slight chance of rain later in the day.

The Chicago Air & Water Show is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.
