25-May-16 – Chicago landmarks will help contestants solve word puzzles on the long-running television show Wheel of Fortune.

The game show is currently filming in Chicago – most likely pre-production filming of video clues that will be inserted into the show. Hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White are in Chicago for the filming.

19 filming permits have been issued for the show by Chicago Department of Transportation since May 19.

Locations include Buckingham Fountain, Cloud Gate, Lincoln Park Zoo, Shedd Aquarium, and Wrigley Building. Filming has also taken place on East Madison street in the Loop and East Hubbard Street in River North.

Wheel of Fortune has been on television since 1975. It is syndicated and seen by about nine million people every day.
