Waterpark resort places paw print in River North

30-Apr-17 – (Above) Much to the approval of their mascot, Mayor Rahm Emanuel (left) and CEO Rubén Rodriguez (center) cut a ribbon last Wednesday to officially open the corporate headquarters of Great Wolf Resorts at River North Point, formerly known as 350 West Mart Center.

Great Wolf Resorts says it is “North America’s largest family of indoor waterpark resorts,” with 16 locations, according to its website.

Photo by Steven Dahlman “We’re making a significant investment and placing a rather large paw print in the Chicago area,” said Rodriguez, “not only with our new corporate office but with a new 414-room Great Wolf Lodge resort opening in Gurnee next summer.”

The company has aggressive growth plans, says Rodriguez, and locating its headquarters in River North will provide “easy travel access” to lodges and development sites.

45 employees will work at the headquarters, nicknamed “Wolf Den Chicago.”
