Vista Tower opens sales center to help you buy ‘mansion in the sky’

4-Apr-16 – It will cost at least $1 million to live in Chicago’s third-tallest tower when it opens in 2020.

And that is just for a one-bedroom unit. One 7,000 square foot penthouse, spread over floors 92 and 93, will cost $17.1 million.

Magellan Development Group says Vista Tower will have 20 penthouses and it will be the highest concentration of full-floor penthouses in the United States.

To help us decide which luxury penthouse to buy, a 10,000 square foot appointment-only sales gallery opened on Monday on Wacker Drive next door to where the 95-story Vista Tower will be built.

For those on a budget, smaller penthouses will be available. “Sky 360 Residences,” located on floors 73-91, will offer 360-degree views but range in price from $8.1 million to $10.8 million.

“These penthouses will be blank canvases, allowing residents to create their own mansions in the sky,” says sales director Leila Zammatta.

The sales gallery, located in the Loop’s Lakeshore East neighborhood, includes a “virtual viewing room” (right) with simulated panoramic views, daytime and nighttime, from any residential floor.

Most of the 406 residential units will be one, two, three, and four-bedroom homes on floors 13-70. Vista will have its own 191-room hotel on floors 1-11.

Besides taking four years to build, the project will cost $950 million.
