8-Feb-16 – Marketing experts at Northwestern University have a favorite Super Bowl ad and it is the one filmed in the Loop last year.

Toyota led strategic rankings at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management with The Longest Chase, a spot about polite bank robbers who steal a Prius on LaSalle Street and take it on a cross-country getaway. The spot was created by Saatchi & Saatchi, an advertising agency in Los Angeles.

The Kellogg School Super Bowl Advertising Review liked the spot over ads for Audi, Budweiser, Doritos, T-Mobile, and TurboTax.

“Toyota’s Prius was a clear winner in this year’s Super Bowl because it kept our attention, had strong linkage to the brand, and showcased its benefits,” said Derek Rucker, Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies in Marketing at Kellogg.

The Prius spot was shot on Dearborn Street, Lake Street, LaSalle Street, Van Buren Street, and Wacker Drive.
