3-Nov-17 – Two young women visiting Chicago last month say they were robbed on the Clark Street Bridge by a third young woman with a gun.

The armed robbery happened on October 10. The women, both in their mid-20s, one from Canada, the other from Jordan, were staying at Club Quarters Hotel on Adams Street in the Loop. They say they were on the Clark Street Bridge at 4:08 a.m. when a woman with a red bandana over her face pointed a handgun at them and demanded two bags they were carrying, one of which contained $1,000 in cash.

The woman with the gun took the bags, then got into a waiting red hatchback car with men inside. The car sped west on Wacker Drive.

The robber is described as a slender black woman, 21 to 24 years old, about five-feet-five-inches tall. She wore all-black clothing except for gray UGG boots.

The next day, a Chicago police detective interviewed the women who were robbed, who said they would not be able to identify their assailant because she was masked. Detective Luis Carrizal of Area Central says police know of no witnesses or surveillance video and have suspended their investigation.
