Clark Street Bridge re-opens with new deck

4-Sep-17 – (Above) The Clark Street Bridge during a seven-month repair project that officially ended on August 23. In the foreground is the old road deck over the Chicago River. Chicago Department of Transportation also replaced old concrete-filled sidewalks with fiberglass grating. The work was completed ten days ahead of schedule, according to Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who said the repairs “will help alleviate congestion and deliver on our promise to provide 21st century infrastructure for the [residents] of Chicago.”
